While working as a partner at an institutional brokerage in Chicago our founder, Brian Cavanaugh, recognized the need for a fiduciary-first, technology-driven approach to insurance placement that prioritized clients needs. This vision centered on addressing the unique specialization and focus required by clients in the financial institution industry. As a result, Finsure was established to offer technology-driven solutions that cater to both fundamental needs and more sophisticated requirements. Our vision has been validated by our growth trajectory, reflecting the trust and confidence our clients place in us to consistently deliver excellence at every renewal.
We are a nationwide company serving businesses across the United States, including major cities like Chicago, New York, Denver, Miami, San Francisco, Austin, Louisville, and Minneapolis.

Brian Cavanaugh
Founder & Managing Partner
Brian founded Finsure to provide clients and partners with a fiduciary-first, technology-driven insurance experience. He lives and works in Chicago with his wife, Sandra, and their two daughters, aged 11 and 6. Brian is a graduate of Fordham University with B.S. Finance 08’ and New York Law School J.D. in 16’. Brian is actively involved in several charitable organizations at the local and national levels, including extensive volunteer work with the Powerlifting United Federation.
Before founding Finsure, Brian was a partner at WTW in Chicago. Previously, Brian was a Vice President in Aon’s Private Equity group in New York. Brian began his career in 2009, underwriting insurance in CNA's Financial Institutions practice in New York.
